Everytime I look at the guy in the lower left corner I get the feeling that he can't live a day without his mom, let alone manage a multi-billion company...

1978 -I was in the US army on a launch crew for the Pershing I nuclear missile system.... judging by the eyes, this was just prior to Bill's landmark meeting with Lucifer.

You think they were ranting about the SOB's at AT&T or Xerox controlling the OS market and probably vowed never to be that greedy? Nah! They were probably dreaming of making $50,000 a year someday.
Hey, that's my mama down in front!

BaVinic That is very true, those were some the hardest working system hackers from that time (Steve Jobs and crew were the othe half).

If you think 25 year old pictures of nerds is funny, let's see your picture from 1978 :D

That picture is from before there was even DOS...how about a recent picture of the guy that makes our OS?

When it comes to visualize a good hacker babe I still prefer to think of Trinity. :D Although... the women in the pic kinda look like her, don't they? :D

Back to serious: looking at the picture I wondered what happened to the other guys except Billyboy. Why is he head of the company now and not somebody else of the team?

Using "short history" and "Microsoft" as search strings I found histories of MS-DOS, OS-2 and UNIX, but not a good site on the history of MS. Anybody know a good URL?

If you ever get bored with kde-look.org, you know where to find fresh wallpapers... :D

Okay, so Bill and Steve went to college together and Bill worked really hard to make computing enjoyable for its user... so much for the MS propaganda.
