I need committment! I need someone who knows kppp inside out.
I can use pppo interface prefectly using terminal but this is unacceptable as I want kppp to work.
KPPP times out continually no matter what I do. I followed the faq trouble shooting business and nothing worked.
Either kppp and this whole Linux stuff sux or there is someone out there who knows their business and can get an NT Administrator to love an immature GUI.
Take up the challange and help. No one liners please. I have tried everything I have read and been told . I am at the point of going back to my expensive but easy windows.

PS The fact that I have been able to connect manually says kppp is the issue. The kpppd will not start. I feel is is related to my usr robotics sportster v90 external modem as I have got another modem to work and windows "everything" works on the pc perfrectly. (with a Windows perfection that is. But it nver fails!)
