I've installed wine, and when I goto run notepad, it tells me:

chdir to /tmp/ .wine-root/server-303-85820e : No such file or directory, and when i type in wine itself, it says:

bash: /bine/wine: /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory.

As for these exact problems, I've had a lot of trouble finding anything on them... Evil elves? Santa gone awry? Maybe someone out there can help :D .

I'm not 100% sure, but i think the file you're looking for is part of the libelf package. If you have an RPM-based distro, you cah download it here (http://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/PLD/dists/ra/PLD/i386/PLD/RPMS/libelf-0.8.2-4.i386.html).

It seems that you need to install the elf libs (I never knew for what they're used) :)
