My university here is set up so that if we want to check our email, we can do so by telneting to the server, logging in, and using pine.
Now, I also have another email address from my ISP that I can only check from home (they have no remote login).
Here's what I want to do.. I'm sure linux is capable of it.. I want to set up a telnet server on my computer at home so I can telnet to my own linux box, login, and use pine to check 3 of my university accounts, as well as my 2 ISP accounts.
Now, setting up a telnet server isn't so hard, I'm sure I could find a HOWTO or something.. But how can I make it so I can view ALL of my email using pine (I'd prefer to use pine, becacuse I'm used to it from university). I remember reading somewhere about fetchmail, but is there an easier way? Can I just set pine up to get the mail from the servers? I didn't see an option to specify the POP server in pine's config, so I don't know.
