Help!!! I stored some back up data on a drive and installed SuSE 7.1 with ReiserFS. i did not format the drive, my /home directory, when i installed SuSE. i did this three times before and i had /home/data1, and /home/data2 left over. these had info from my previous installs. now i have nothing. i did a df -l and it says that the drive is 24% used. it's a 10GB drive and that's about the size of the data i have stored. all i have from my current install is my /home directory that is basically empty.
I think it has something to do with the reiserFS file table. i need to get to the data!!!. god i wish i had a CD-R!. anyone know how to fix this or am i SCREWED???

Ooof! Doesn't sound good.

I might be way off base (and I don't have any experience with the ReiserFS), but in the most extreme case, could you try to save the data via a disk dump (using dd) to another drive?

Can i find info on dd in the man pages? I'm at work, so i can't look myself.
