While d/l'ing the new beta of Mandrake, I noticed there's a couple of other ISO's available and was wondering what they were, and what's included.
Mandrakefreq-i586-20010316.iso
Cookfire-1.0beta4-i586.iso
Any ideas?

It's a CD image file. You'll need a proggy to extract the files. You can do a search to find out what proggies are around and probably read some of the comments. I don't too much about this, I'm afraid. :(
Not sure what's in Mandrakefreq though... maybe you can find something on their site?
Sorry, that's about all I know :p

Thanks for you're response. I know what an ISO is, I was there to download the two for Linux-Mandrake 8.0B3, I was just curious as to what the other two were. I did find out that Mandrakefreq is a "frequent" release, whatever that is. (couldn't find anymore infor) but still don't know what cooker is. I'm sure it's something to do with the development side, but not positive.
Thanks again for your post.

Freq is an updated version of the latest stable release. So basically it is 'Drake 7.2 with KDE2.1 (as opposed to KDE2.0) and a few other updates. It was done because the orginal idea was to just update from cooker (the ongoing beta/unstable/developement) the packages you desired. This proved a problem when glibc was updated in cooker and everything was binary incompatible between cooker and 7.2.
8.0b is a beta release that is meant only for testing. I would recommend to wait for 8.0b3 or use freq for right now.
