Hi everyone,

A few years ago, I heard that MS was using UNIX for virus checking. Does anyone know if they still are?

Thanks...

Wouldn't suprise me. I know they used to also use Netscape in their browsing department :-) I once saw some show where they were talking about IE and in the background somebody was opening up Netscape... Go figure.

Thanks..

There was a site with printed documentation on the subject. Can anyone remember if that site still exists?

Thanks again...

No but you could try making a search at Google.

There was an article about MS internal usage of UNIX and Linux I read a while back, which pretty much said that it is not an uncommon thing. Here is a little funny link (http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/hosted?netname=MSFT-IDC,213.199.144.0,213.199.159.255).
