For those of you who know macs better than I do, I'm in need of help. I am using the software DAVE to file/printer share between 1 mac and 1 pc. I have a dial-up internet connection configured on the mac. My only problem is that when I go to the apple/control panels/tcpip, I can only change my dial up connection. I changed it from ppp to ethernet, but then I couldnt get on the internet. So my question pretty much is, how to I configure my ethernet w/tcpip without f'ing up my dialup? BTW its OS 9.2

Are you sure tcpip is where you need to go to configure DAVE? I am not familiar with that software, so I am not sure what you are trying to do. You might want to look in chooser, under the apple menu. That is how I am able to network my iMac and my Debian box using Netatalk. All the work is done by my Debian box, and all I have to do is go to the chooser on the iMac, select the network drive and login. I am not sure how to do printer sharing yet.

Not a problem. I've been using Macs since 1987. Let us know how you are able to get DAVE to work. Are you a member of Shenlug yet
( http://shenlug.tux.org/ )? We meet at Lord Fairfax CC on the second Tuesday every month.

I'm going to have to lock this thread for two reasons:

[list]
It's a Mac question in /dev/random when we have a Mac Forum.
"Urgent Mac help needed" isn't a descriptive enough thread title. Not only that, but what makes your question more urgent than any other member's question? When posting a query for help, please have a thread title which entails what the problem(s) you're having is/are.
