I have a 60 gig hd that my bios recognises and Windows 98 and W2K recognises just fine, but when I try to install Red Hat 7.1 Disk Druid Wont mount any of the partitions that I make and when I go into fdisk, I see it only recognises half of my sectors on the hard disk and wont let me make more than two partitions (/boot and /).

Due to work, I have found I need large M$ partitions so they are occupying a combined total of about 25 gigs. I have Partition Magic, but I have never used it before and I like it beign in control of my partitions with fdisk and lilo...but it apears I might have to give up that control, so I am posting here for advice on how to work around it. Got any?

Thanks.

I always use Partition Magic whenever I'm setting up a new hd and to prepartition for Linux. I find it works as advertised.

Just use PM to create the ext2 partitions and swap, reboot with the RH7.1 cd and the newly created partitions should be detected and away you go.
