Good True Type Font info/resources needed

Can anyone hook me up with some good font resources? I read the NHF and it didn't help much. I can view my (one, I need some more ttfs) font in gfontview, but not in xfontsel or gfontsel. And I cant figure out how to actually select it from gfontview, or any other way. I've been searching around but have yet to find any good documentation. This is on Debian 22r2. TIA

For ttfs themselves all you got to do is a search in google.

Or look in c:\windows\fonts if you have a windows machine available somewhere.
