Well,

I tried to install some program, there was some problem with libraries, I installed those libraries , now that's what I get , when I try to telnet to it :

-bash: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.4.1: cannot open sha
red object file: No such file or directory

Connection to host lost.

is there any way to repair it remotely ?

thx

what did u install, what distro do u have, do u have redcarpet, did u install using rpm's? .. hm well, this may be pointless, but look in ld.so.conf and see if anything looks wrong, when u get out of it run ldconfig , maybe all u need to do is run ldconfig, it jus updates itself, the libraries .. sure someone else will have better advice ..

You could try Xnest as it's included with X.

Xnest :1 -indirect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx &

Just change the ip address. It should work unless access has not been setup to allow remote connections through Xaccess.

I didn't know that. Oh well.

Being there to fix it would be your best bet.
