Heyo.

Yeah, yeah. I know. USB - yuck. Well, the cable company out here is afraid to open up our computers. So they stick us with this converter. This is my first experience with Linux, and I'm not quite sure how to set this up, or if I even can. Please e-mail me if yer willing to help.

i don't think usb sucks. The transfer rate on a usb device ain't shabby.. i like the ease of plugging in a device and going with it..

But that's in windows.

Now i have a USB mouse, that i can't use on my usb..
a USB ethernet device which is 10/100 ehternet.. can't use it.

I hear your pain, man. Who cares about "bloat"? I like USB!

I miss that.

Ethernet cards are fairly inexpensive nowadays. Go get one and install it yourself, no sweat.
