i just got slackware installed on a machine which is connected to a router via a NIC.
wheni installed it i had the option to put in network stuff, but in kde i cannot access the internet.
is there a way i can change the settings from within kde as i cant seem to be able to find the menu which allows me to do the said action.
hope someone can shed some light

cheers

Please try these JL forum search results for 'router resolv.conf' (http://justlinux.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=670974&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) as some of them should tell you exactly what to do and what files to edit and make the required changes.

I'm sure a couple were from the last day or so and should help.

Do you have your ISP DNS IP's in your /etc/resolv.conf?

If you don't, add them.

nameserver ip

Searching the JL forums for /etc/resolv.conf will find plenty of examples and a couple I posted within the last few days.
