any flash editors for linux?
i installed swish 2 and swish lite via the latest version of wine, but they are both hideously unstable, and neither of them work properly at all. but they install and execute...
i need my editors...i love my mandrake system, and ill die with linux distro cds in my grave, but i dont want to be stuck on an iceberg when it comes to all the web authoring tools..
where do linux users turn to for an alternative to dreamweaver and flash studio?
help...?

If you do a search for 'WYSIWYG html editors' you should get loads of results. Many people have asked this before ;)
Same for flash :p

All I can think of is these G4L search results for 'flash editor' (http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=flash+editor&btnG=Google+Search) or try seaching the JL forums for the same to see if the question has been asked and answered before.

I email Macromedia asking if they are going to release a linux flash program and they said "we don't know if we are ever going to release a linux version of flash".

I've never heard of any Flash editors that are worth anything in Linux. I have heard of people who have gotten Flash MX to work under wine and winex. Crossover office also has good support for Flash in linux.
I just wish they would do a native port. I think a lot of web developers would like that also. There are some things you can do easily in flash that are difficult to do with other tools.

You might already know but the latest Codeweavers Crossoffice version supports Macromedia Flash Editor (as well as Dreamweaver) I think.
