i have been using my new 22" Diamond Pro 2070SB for about two weeks now and as a linux user i am not so happy with it. for one NaViSet software only runs on windows and Mac, although you can do same kind of adjustments using the On-Screen Manager Controls.

My real problem is that i have noticed some bluring at the far edges of the screen. Can anyone tell me if this is normal for a 22" monitor?

Also, i did not get the version of the monitor with SpectraView Color Calibration since only runs on windows and Mac. Does color calibrator make that much of a difference?? i am willing to buy it and run the calibration on my old windows system.

no. i'd take it back it it was mine and it was blurry.

I have a Compaq 21" Trinitron at home running at 1800x1440 and the screen quality is crystal clear in the center and all the edges.

Are you also running Windows? How does it look in Windows? Same as Linux?

What resolution are you running at?

i am running 1600x1200@85 which is the recomended resolution. i have tried it in windows and linux. the blur is hard to notic but its there specially when i compare text in the center with text at the edges(specially at the corners).

though the tube is an aperture grille(color square), whereas my old 17" monitor is not(color circles). the screen quality on my 17" is crystal clear in the center and all the edges.

Yes it would be best to contact their support to see what they have to say.

Also search Google (or other search engines) for the monitor model to see if others have complained about the same problem.

Unless another JL member has the exact same monitor model (and sees this thread), there isn't much else we can say besides what have already been posted.

I have a 19" mitsubish diamond plus 93sb and get that blurryness too, I just thought there was nothing I could do about it and ignore it....
