Mandrake......

Now its a lil worse ......

Since it recognized my burner, i went ahead and setup K3B ..... now i have some drive called cdrecorder which points to .... none of my optical drives, and the burner is locked.... locked, but i can still read files off of it and eject it via the command line.... this is what made me reinstall this morning to begin with.....

I've seen similar threads before on locked cd/dvd drives.

See if you can find anything to help in these JL forum search results for 'cdrom locked' (http://justlinux.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=669454&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending).

Don't just read one and give up. ;)
