How can I watch dvds with Xine from my tv?

I just got my hands on a Gf4 mx 440SE and I noticed that it has a tv-out connentor. I've got the nvidia drivers and xine set up, but how can I get it out of my tv?

I went to see the xine doc pages but the instructions are really weak. I've also installed nvtv, but it didn't do any good.

Can anyone help me?

TIA, Janne

The Nvidia Linux driver readme (available on the Nvidia site) has instructions for configuring tv-out.

Yes it does but I coulnt get it working. When I boot I can see everything in black and white until X starts. Then my tv just goes black (without any white:p ).

Any tips? The readme has very few line about configuring the tv and I was hoping someone who has got it woking could give me some tips.

I have a GF3 Ti200 and FX-5600 both with tv-out, but I haven't even bothered to configure them yet for tv-out. One of these days I will.

Unless another member can help, try searching www.google.com/linux for

nvidia tvout

and

nvidia tv-out

I have also seen a few threads here on the subject, so it may help if you try searching the JL forums for the same as above. Hopefully another members problem and solution will benefit yourself.

Maybe post the pertinent parts of your X config so others can have a look.

Thanks but I've done all that already. I guess we'll just have to wait for some guru to explain it all to us;)

Let me know if you can get it working.
