q2 after correction was make to *.html. it never show "latest" changes.

q3. If the same setting with sendmail works in my company server. I can never able to email to other domains with the same setting?

i don't understand what you are asking. is there any way you could rephrase the questions or possibly have someone with better English skills rewite the question for you?

/me hands out the olive branch...

I'll try to field a couple of the questions. Hopefully some sense can be made of them.

q1: at the machine, or from a remote prompt like ssh, type route. It should show you the default gateway for that machine. I don't see why the machine would use a proxy, though. I mean, if it's in colocation, and your plan allows you to do web serving, you shouldn't have to fool with a proxy server. I'd call the ISP and ask their tech support about your poor connection speed.

q2: Are you running a proxy at the site you're at? It may not be that the colocated server's ISP is running a proxy, but your local system could be caching, or that you have a proxy server caching web pages at your site. Or, it could even be that you simply uploaded the updated pages to the wrong directory on the server. There's any number of things that could be the problem. Try clearing the cached web pages on your local machine.

q3: I dunno. If you're using sendmail, it's a pretty complicated thing to run. If this mail server is for a business, I'd suggest hiring someone to help set up your mail server.

In the future, can you try to be a little more clear in asking your questions?

I believe 802.11 is already the Linux system administrator as his place of employment.

Might be worth it to pickup a good book on Sendmail. In fact another member just posted a couple of Sendmail book selections today of which a quick JL forum search would likely locate for you.

'sendmail book'

Alex Cavnar, aka alc6379, thanks.

no, I donot upload to the wrong directory.

I also post my problem in australia. In fact, the local cache has been rectified.
co-location is stimulating the same environment that I work. It is a hostile world. I really have to prepare the worst.

how to stop linux redhat 9.0 from web cache? 8080 is for caching.

since I developed a lot of program at home. I always concerned with my work thus I am a poor system administrator.

what I am trying to say. " tripwire " suppose to report all *.php that I have modified, but it did not revealed in its log.

the tripwire task included in daily.cron. how does such task be executed at what time.

normally I will cron or fcron each task.
