Washed keyboard and now keys do not work properly ??

I recently washed my keyboard. I took it apart and cleaned it up. When I put it back together the five key when pressed displays 54. when i hold it down I get 54444444444444. my four key when pressed gives me 54 also 5444444444. my 3 key is 83 and 8333333333. my 83 key is the same as three. 76 for my 6 and 7 keys. the numlock in addition to doing the numlock thing, prints a -. can i fix this or will i have to use a different keyboard from now on?

Did you let it dry long enough?

Wait a day or so and see if it works. If not, time for a new keyboard.

You could try cleaning the contacts again using the proper cleaning fluid.

BTW... I edited the subject to something a bit more descriptive of your problem. 'keyboard' could be about anything.
