Just built a new box based on the abit IS7 865 chipset motherboard, P4 2.4C, and yet to be determined video and Hard drive interface. It has onboard 2 channel SATA. Are there drivers available for this or should I stick with ATA100 for now? Also are there any other compatibility issue I should be aware of? If SATA is an issue I don't mind saving a few bucks and disabling it in the bios.

If it's the "Silicon" something chipset (SATA) then there's support in 2.4.21 kernel.
