Tried a couple times to load RH 6.2 (need it for an application) on a machine that had been running a SuSE version just fine. However, after reformatting and loading RH to include Lilo to MBR AND the creation of a boot disk, I cannot get the thing to boot. When I boot from the floppy, I get a message:

'0x10'

Then the machine tries to boot again and the same message.

Linux........
0x10

Linux.......
0x10

etc..

Any ideas anybody? I've tried to load a new version (RH 7.0) to test and get the same thing.

The error could mean that either your floppy disk is bad or the image that's on it's corrupted. But it also could mean a hardware problem such as floppy drive,memory,cpu...hope this helps.

0x10 is a CRC error. I know- very informative, right? ;)
