I was hoping to download WP8 for Linux. I googled and all the links are inactive. Any ideas?

Thanks.

What distro/version?

I believe one or two of these JL forum search results for 'wordperfect' (http://justlinux.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=664546&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) will explain that certain old libraries will be required in you intend to install WP.

WordPerfect kind of became obselete when OpenOffice and StarOffice came around.

There are lots of google links. The trick is to either use wordperfect8 as one word or look for guilg00.gz which is the WP tarball. A typical google hit is http://ldp.darwinzone.com/FAQ/WordPerfect-Linux-FAQ/downloadwp8.html which may give you what you want,

I was looking at the wrong place. CNET, Tucows, other sites...

this is where I got the listing of the download sites and install instruction :
http://www.linuxmafia.com/wpfaq/downloadwp8.html

also
http://corellinux.com/support/html/9210.htm

is very helpful. Thanks guys!

Hey oOzi, sorry if I disappoint you but WP8 is quite easy for me to use for my formal papers requiring strict Turabian format. I'll try tweaking OpenOffice Writer to format the layout Turabian way.
