I just moving my harddisk, to another computer, with OS. Linux Red Hat 7.0. But some how the OS. cann't start, It said "kernel panic : unable to mount root to on 16.05".
I allready make that harddisk into primary master, but somehow it doesn't work.

Is it moving harddisk, can be so much trouble, is it any way to solve it...
Can you ppl help me plz?

you need to make sure the kernel has the correct root filesystem for it to boot properly. If you moved the hd, you may have changed the dev location (i.e hda1, hda2, hdb1, etc) if you provide a boot parameter through LILO or LOADLIN root=/dev/<root location> where root location is the location of the root file system, then hopefully the kernel will find the filesystem, and continue to reboot.

BIOS settings correct for the new drive and jumpers set?
As bernieb said, the kernel cannot find the boot location. How different was your other PC's HD configuration to the new one?
