ok im sure this has been asked 1,000 times but i am going to ask again, sorry for the repeatition.

i just got a new laptop running windows xp. i am trying to get this redhat machine to share the internet connection with it. i have 2 ethernet cards, both are working properly i think.

i have one card hooked up to my dsl modem which i am connected through ppp on right now. this connection uses the eth1 card.

the 2nd card is connected to a hub uplink and then connected to my laptop :)

i want to make eth0 have an internal address like 10.0.0.1 or whatever. i set up the windows machine to use the address 10.0.0.2.

i dont know what else i need to do. i gave eth0 the address 10.0.0.1

please help. let me know if you need more info.

The Internet Connection Sharing Help File (http://justlinux.com/nhf/Networks/Easy_Internet_Sharing.html) has some useful pointers. Among other things, on the Windows box you'll have to specify the IP of the LAN-side NIC in the Linux box as the gateway IP.
