Out of no where I lost the ability to send mail. It hangs and the says to check my settings. There was no problem as the only smtp server is the cable modem one and I have since downloaded 1.4 in oder to refresh the environment but same problem is occurring. I get all mail from separate account but sending is not linking somewhere. Any ideas? 2 days and counting...

Just some thoughts- did the encryption get turned on or switched to another mode? And is the secure login correct for the server. On some clients you can test this.
Can you set-up another mail client (kmail, mutt, etc.) and send mail?This may localise the problem.

I found where somehow the port for the smtp was changed to a wrong port. It is ok now , thanks anyway.

Yep you read right!!
I have used moz for the last 6 months and today I did a search in my mail, and now I can get and send ok but I c ant see any mail headings at all. (or any mail just and empty page)
The mail is actaully there as I can see the spam and unread mail on the left mounting up.
Has anyone come accross this?
Is this a mail thing or a Redhat 9 Thing as I lost a whole dir of stuff moving ( complete website!) to my var/www/html dir.
It didnt get there and left my home account never to be seen again!
Am I missing something here?
