My current set up is MDK 9.1 running ProFTPD and apache. Im running into some problems with installing Perl and other things for MDK so I am looking to find out what other Distros people are using for your web/database server. For the time being, until I get enough RAM to run Oracle I am going to install MySQL. Its not installing that great onto MDK. Also Perl 5.002 just wont install period for me for some reason. I have read that Red Hat has the latest version of Perl installed.
So heres my question, If you have a web server, What distro are you runnning and what servers do you have running?

I currently am running Red Hat 9 with MySQL and Apache Web Server... I don't think that RH9 had the newest perl on it, I believe I upgraded, but anyway, I have the newest one installed and it runs fine.

I'm currently also running MDK 9.1 with Apache 2 and MySQL. Your best bet, unless you need massive customization, is to just use the MDK CD's to install MySQL. The RPM they've got works pretty well, and is already configured to run properly with Apache and PHP, as far as I know. I wish I could be running Gentoo on this machine, but I'm not patient enough. I prefer being able to install the system in an hour or two, and have everything (mostly) up and running soon thereafter.

1 Server - RedHat 7.3
2 Servers - RedHat 8.0
All running Apache 1.3.x not 2.x
I absoultely love RedHat... I've tried a few other distros but think it's the best for web, etc.

I have RedHat 9, but I manually compile Apache, PHP and mySQL.
