hi,
i've got a raid (striping) config of two 15gig ibm ata100 drives which i want to dual boot with redhat7 and win2k. the resulting 30gig block is partitioned into two 12gig and two 3gig partitions. one of the 3gig is partitioned with fat32 since i think linux is read only with ntfs. i got the install to detect my hdd's by typing "cat /proc/pci|less" finding the i/o numbers and installing using "text ide2=0xd800..." at the boot prompt. that works but it asks which drive (physical) i want to install on (i.e. dosen't detect the raid) and thinks the partitions are corrupted.

also could anyone tell me how to append the above ide command to the lilo.conf?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

hmm, I dont think any ide raid cards are supported by linux.
Do you have the promise card? if so, check their website. It's not supported in the main kernel, so maybe they have a patch.
