st0: Error on write filemark

Hi all,

I'm looking for help in this.Lately,I have seen an error message on my Linux server(Red Hat 6.0)login screen,the message shown as login: st0: Error on write filemark.Can anyone enlighten me on this & how to get rid of this message?

It would appear that you have errors writing to your scsi tape device. If you don't have a scsi tape drive then this could be the cause of the errors. I wish I knew how to get rid of the message for you but I'm trying desparatly to get my scsi tape to work and disabling it is not a function I have tried.
