Hey, I'm a comp user who installed Linux 2 days ago to try it out and the distro I use is Caldera OpenLinux 1.3 which I got from a book. I don't think Caldera has updates on their site so does any one know where I can find some?

Two words: linuxiso.org. ;)
It has CD-ROM images of virtually every Linux distro ever released, including Caldera 3.1.1.
Don't use Caldera - it's not active anymore. If you're a complete new Linux user, look for Mandrake or Red Hat, though out of the two I would suggest Mandrake. I agree with the linuxiso.org thing - great site. Also, if you're downloading a distribution, make sure you download it from a nearby location to make it as quick as possible.

Are you running on 'very' old hardware?
If your pc hardware is fairly new, I would suggest you try a newer version of Caldera (or other distros if you like) as 1.3 is around 4 years old.
