Strange things are happening here. :(
I don't know what goes wrong, but since a couple of days the installation of new RPMs takes really a LOT (+15 minutes) of time to complete. (eg.: installation of firebird-rpm takes about half hour...)
I didn't had this before I updated to the latest mozilla-rpms. Before this update, RPM-installation was normal. After the update, new RPM-installation takes a lot of time and generates a lot of HD-activity. No matter if I use RPM-drake, Kpackage or console-URPMI, same syndrome every way I try.
(Yes, I tried to take out the mozilla-updates, but it doesn't make any difference)
Did I broke my rpm-system?
What causes this excessive IO-activity? How come it takes so much time?
I'm using MDK 9.1 with KDE.
Any suggestions?
THX in advance,
