Hi,
I have installed flash for netscape and I have read the whole HOWTO flash installation for konqueror as well. In the konqueror preferences (Settings) the HOWTO tells me to specify the path to java executable or 'java', but I cannot select the directory. I have to specify the file, but which file is that? I have also tried to specify both files of the flash plugin that i downloaded and copied inside the netscape plugins directory but it does work either.
Could you please help me?

Flash for Linux is nonexistent. The Flash Plugin on the Macromedia site was written by a "non-Macromedia" linux user many years ago and is not kept up or supported by Macromedia at all. It's basically a joke. Sorry to break it to you, but we wont have Flash for a while probably.

The Flash program always worked with me in Netscape 4.7. In fact, I didn't even want it to. I installed it by accident; I hate Flash, and I had to manually delete it form the system after all the Flash crap on the web got to be too much.

Sometimes flash can be annoying but cant do my work properly if I dont get it installed.
Could please someone tell me what I should put in the path of the java executable? I cant select a directory so it has to be a file.
Thanks.

java and flash are totally different and unrelated.
Usually there's a link to the java executable here "/usr/bin/java", if not then check here to see if it's even installed by looking for this directory "/usr/java/" if there's nothing there then you'll have to go download a jre from sun java.sun.com
You don't say what distro you're using, but if you want flash working and you happen to be using mandrake 8 all you need is
1st CD:
netscape-plugins-4.77-4mdk.i586.rpm
2nd CD:
kdebase-nsplugins-2.1.1-13mdk.i586.rpm
