I got Red Hat 7 working good and am now trying to get my cable modem working. The modem is plugged into the uplink port on a Netgear FS108 Ethernet switch. My comp has a Realtek RTL8139 PCI Nic. I went into LinuxConf and set my hostname to C147286-B.plstn1.sfba.home.com (thats the one windows uses), set my IP, gateway, DNS, etc. I have tried using DHCP and Manual. When I set DHCP it tries to set up eth0 on boot then fails, if I do manual, it passes but the internet dosn't work. On windows all I do is set my Hostname to C147286-B and my workgroup to @home and DHCP does the rest. Here is some info on my internet access bellow, any help would be appreciated.

Provider: @home
Network Name: C147286-B
C147286-B.plstn1.sfba.home.com
WorkGroup: @home
IP: 65.0.150.131
DNS: 24.20.31.194/195
GateWay: 65.0.150.1
DHCP Server: 24.0.0.114

Can someone tell me how to set up everything assuming RedHat was just installed without leaving out any steps? :D

Thanks,
Falcon
