Copy and Paste images in Redhat Linux

Hi!

I am using a Redhat Linux 9. I would like to ask how to make it possible the process of copying and pasting images from one application to another one? In my case, I was trying to copy a figure from a .pdf file (opened in Acrobat Reader which provides the ability to copy images) and to paste it into Gimp so that I could save the figure as an image file to use later. But I failed. Could you please tell me what I should do to or set to solve this problem?

What type of mouse are you using? If you are using a three button mouse, select the image as you normally do. Right click and select copy. Now go to the GIMP and middle click and the image should be there. Hope this helps.
