HI there!
I am VERY new to LINUX and am using the Mandrake distro when I tried installing XFree86 4.0.2 to install GATOS for my ATI ALL IN WONDER 16MB Graphics card(AGP) here's the errors I got:

this is a long shot, but did u type 'ldconfig' during the install (the installation guide REALLY needs to have a simple area that justs lists all the commands [i skipped this step whe ni installed]) I thought i heard (but not sure anymore) that ATI Rage 128 cards had probs, but it doesn't look like it when looking at the output. did you setup the keyboard correctly (when i got to that part of the install [during xf86config] it said it could not find file and used default but my setup works fine) there also seemed to be a prob with fonts, but i dont understand. have you tried it in root and reg user? try xf86config and set conservative settings, just to see if u can get it working.
