Hi everyone,
Ive tried posting in the hardware forum but its a bit quiet so hope you dont mind me reposting here ;)
Im just starting out with Linux and have a copy of Redhat 7.0 and Mandrake 7.1.
Trouble is when Mandrake gets to the monitor setup i can select any monitor type and when i confirm it i just get a blank screen with the monitor GUI telling me that the vertical and horizontal frequency is way out of range!
I get the same with Redhat too - as Anaconda is probing my monitor in the early stages of setup the screen goes blank with the same as Mandrake.
Ive tried monitor types that have lower frequencies than mine but still get the same.
This has really put a stop to my Linux experience before its even started :mad:
If anybody can offer me any workrounds for this would be very much appreciated.
Oh yeah, my monitors a Iiyama 15" S500M1.
Thanx,
rockhard =)
