i recently downloaded the 'drake 7.2 iso's. i burned them using the easy cd creator, but instead of creating all the files/directories, it only burned the actual .iso file on the cd. what am i missing??

thanks

If Windows, Double-click on the ISO file and it will fire up Creator and create the CD

If you have actually copied those iso's to the cd, you should be able to boot from the first one which starts the install.

just to make sure i understand, when i burn the iso to a cd, it should create files and directories, correct?

when i created the cd's, i started creator first and then dragged the iso into creator. does that do something different than double clicking on the iso file??

if you're using a program like Easy CD Creator or some other windows based CD creation software, there should be a menu option under the "file" menu which allows you to open or create a cd from an image this is what you need to do. Simply copying the iso to the cd to be burned will not work.

Make sure the .iso file type is a picture of a cd. If its a picture of a page with the windows logo then your cd-burning software (CD Creator is not seeing the proper file type). Only if you see the .iso image in the form of a cd icon then you can drag and drop to make the install cd. If you see otherwise then you need to open up cd creator and chose to make an image.
