Hi I'm new here...

Hiya fellow Linux Fans!

I hope you all welcome me to this board....

I am 21 years old, Asian and live in England (UK).

Also I use Linux Mandrake 7.1 which is quite good but a little overbloated.

What distros does everyone else use? and more importantly why?

Well ... I've used a very old version ... I think it was Slackware 3.5 and it wasn't very good. I think version 7 is out now?

So.. whats good about Slackware as opposed to a distro like Mandrake? :confused:

It all depends on what you want, If you want a functional but Bland distro, then Debian or Slackware is the go. :eek:

If you want a distro that has a lot of dektop enhancements then Mandrake 7.1 7.2 is the way to go. ;)

It is all a matter for your individual taste.

Thanks.... We in that case I think I'll stick with Mandrake, it does everything I want it to do as well as providing lots of cool features and programs to use.
