Hey all,
Just setup SuSE 8.2 the way I like it. I've got an IBM laptop with an Orinoco wireless LAN card.
I figured out that I could install the PCMCIA orinoco card via YaST2 and I can even get a dhcp address for my card.
The name of the device is eth-pcmcia
and the files that YAst2 and SuSE in general stores its settings in are at /etc/sysconfig/network/
The name of the config file for this devide is:
ifconfig-eth-pcmcia
Now I have set the ESSID to the name of my wireless access point and turned off WEP so I could at least get basic connectivity to my network.
Does anyone know what the process is to get this thing working?
I have read most of the stuff on these things at: http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux
but I feel somewhat clueless.
Thanks,
solarcide
