using ipconfig in windows, I received the message that I was using a "NOVELL 2000 ADAPTER". However, in linux, smc9194 was detected instead. I went ahead and used the latter module, and I was able to surf the net. Why is it then that when I reboot the pc, I receive the message that "eth0 failed initialization"? I get the feeling that the smc9194 had something to do with this.
I went ahead and searched for ne2000 (or anything similar to it) in my library of modules, but to no avail. I found such drivers as ne2k-pci, and ne; but no ne2000. Is there any way that I can obtain a copy of ne2000, if that will solve the problem?

Is this Linksys LNE2000 ISA or PCI nic?I belive n2k-pic.o is for the pci one and ne.o is for isa.Check scyld's network section for more info (http://www.scyld.com) .Hope this helps.
