Hi,
I got an old P200 machine with 32MB RAM installed. I have tried install Redhat 7.1 on it, but it was very slow. I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestion on what distribution of Linux should I use on the machine.
Regards,
Vic

I recomend Slackware Linux or FreeBSD

Sounds like a perfect machine for Gentoo ;)

Debian woody would probaby be worth trying. you could probably get by with kde 2.2 which comes with woody. The above suggestions are good too of course.
I'd suggest you to go for Slack or Debian :)

I would suggest using Fluxbox, Elightenment or Waimea before using KDE to save resources.
And look for older versions of Xfree86 that might save some resources too.

Two suggestions:
1) If you want to install linux, use the proper forum, this is the 'Other Unix-Based OS' forum.
2) If you are open to other UNIX-like OSes, install FreeBSD, NetBSD or OpenBSD.
