I have a redhat 9 installation, and i was wondering what i would have to do to browse and run stuff from my NTFS partition (i have wine working fine). I would like it so that it is all configured when it boots too. A link to a complete howto would be nice too.

I think it has to do something with recompiling the kernel...am i correct??

TIA

Yes, you have to enable ntfs support (though, it's only read only) in xconfig. Then you have to recompile and make. Redhat has it disabled to prevent possible future lawsuits. you may also want to enable dma so you could watch dvd's. They have that disabled as well.

Here's the link: The Linux Documentation Project Howto - NTFS (http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Filesystems-HOWTO-5.html)
