Cdrecord Hangs

Hi folks, I've posted this before without getting a response so I thought I would try again. I have Debian, kernel 2.2.16 on an IBM ps2/77. Cdrecord times out when it enters the fixate stage, then tries to send an abort command to the scsi burner and just hangs. I can't even open a second terminal to kill the program. I have to do a full hard reboot. The data is burned on the cd successfully. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm, can't really help you; but as no-one seems to have a clue it might be better than no response at all:
Did you try to set the -v and -V flags (or several of them) to increment verbose level for general and SCSI command transport respectively? Maybe this gives you an idea of what's going on...
