I'm having trouble finding a Linux distribution that will load onto an external Firewire drive.
I'm using an Apple Powerbook 12 (G4).
So far I've tried Mandarke 9.1 and Yellow Dog 3.0. Neither would recognize my external drive during installation.
Is this a standard problem that is not defeatable? I'd rather not partition my internal hard drive - other users in my family would be a bit unhappy if I screwed it up.
THOUGHTS or experiences with this?
