Hi I have Debian 3.0 and KDE 2.2.2. My sound volume is very soft and I can't find kMix, which is supposed to let me control volume. Isn't kMix part of KDE's multimedia package that would have been installed when the Debian setup installed KDE? However, there is no Multimedia folder in the KDE menu... What do I do?

I am not familiar with debian, but at my desktop kmix is located on the panel (a small icon of a speaker) anyway try to run kmix from a terminal, it should be located under /usr/bin/ at least mine is.

There is no speaker icon anywhere that I can see... and when I go to /usr/bin/ and enter kmix, I get a "command not found." For some odd reason, I do not believe that I even have kmix installed with KDE... is it possible to download it separately without having to download the entire KDE?
