This is a pretty newbie question. I created a mount point for my Windows 2000 partition from Mandrake 7.2. I can only seem to access it as root, is there some reason why I can get access rights to the partition as a normal user? If not, then can someone walk me through the correct why to setup the mount point and a shortcut to is as a normal user. When I try normally, by adding a directory and adding the mount point to fstab, I can see the files and use them, but only as root. When I create a shortcut to the partition as a normal user I can't enter the directory due to some kind of access rights BS. Any help is appreciated!

Here is a webpage that explains the file attributes quite well. They do a much better job than I can.

take a look, if you still have a question, go head a post it and I will try to elaborate on the area of interest further.
