Hi,

I just received the official debian(woody) cd set via mail, which came with 7 cds. I'm attempting to go through the install, booting from CD. Everything is working fine until i get to the point where it gives you the choice to install the kernel and base system.

...So it continues on and starts installing packages until it gets to the package called *info_4.1-2_i386.deb*. The installation process stops and states that this said file is corrupt. So, great! I buy CDs that SHOULD work fine, but don't. No problem.

...so i download this said file from debian.org onto my win me partition. So i go back and reboot the debian cd(#1) and attempt to go through the same process. But it doesn't seem to give the option to specify a list of sources(cdrom, /dev/hda1, etc.) to get packages from for installation.

My question is, how do i get the installation process to look at the newly downloaded *info* package, when it finds out the version on the CD is corrupt? The win me(/dev/hda1) partition is mounted and i can access the data on it from linux.

Any guidance/advice is most greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

-Darren
