I reinstalled Linux after a few weeks. I decided to use GNOME instead of KDE.
Once GNOME booted up I couldn't use my keyboard.
The setup detected my keyboard just fine! It worked just fine in KDE also. What could the problem be?

boot to a text screen and log in there. does the keyboard work in text mode?
if not i'd check the connections.
generally the keyboard should respond in some way even if it's not in the way that you want. ie it only prints chinese chars instead of english ones or something like that.

I booted into Linux, and looked at the desktop with my mouth open...Thinking...how do I boot into text mode without pressing F6?

My keyboard works just fine in Windows. So, it has nothing to do with it not being plugged in properly.
