Hi all,

I just dual-booted win98 and rh62 on my sager notebook...everything works well except for one problem.

During the startup sequence, the machine tries to "Staring sendmail" and waits for like 5 min before going on....

What did i do wrong, and how do i fix it?

thanks,
Stavefan

If you don't need sendmail, then just disable its starting, either using a admin tool like linuxconf or editing your init scripts.

ok...if i have to ask this question, then i think i know what the answer is....

what is sendmail and what does it do?
(which polly leads to the answer that i don't need it)

ok...how do i disable it in linuxconf?

thanks

if ur running a mail server then probably u will use it. if not, disable it using the "ntsysv" command. disable it on boot up.
