why do people keep replying with the word bump all the time?

call me thick but this issue isnt obvious

the only one i can think of is to put their question at the top of the pile.

yes.. People 'bump' their message to the top of the pile, because a lot of people rarely read past the first page of posts..

This is annoying, though, and should be avoided.. Unless the message is a few weeks old or something..
