ive downloaded and installed slackware 9 how do i install the kernel headers for compilation?

Type "pkgtool" at the terminal to access Slackware's package system. With your Slackware CD in the drive, select the kernel-headers package and install. Is there something more complicated I'm missing?

ive done this then i try to compile software
and it says kernel headers missing.
